ZACH SKIPPER
Zach grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated from Vanderbilt University before serving four years as a Naval Officer in Virginia. During college, he sensed God's call to make disciples of students, which eventually led him to Birmingham to pursue a Master of Divinity.
While attending seminary, Zach coached football and basketball at Mountain Brook Junior High and began leading bible studies with middle and high school guys. Those relationships led to the founding of Bigtime Ministries in 2006.
Coach Skip is married to Haley who teaches kindergarten at Cherokee Bend Elementary, They have a daughter, Sawyer, a son, Jackson, and a dog named Butter. Coach Skip has also served as a youth minister on staff at churches, worked as Leadership Development coach and consultant, and traveled as a retreat and camp speaker. He completed his Master of Divinity in 2023 from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and serves as the Executive Director of Bigtime Ministries. Coach Skip and his family are members of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.

JANIE ROPER
Janie is a Birmingham native and attended Briarwood Christian High School. She has lived in Birmingham her whole life except for the period she attended Auburn University. She is married to Adam Roper and they have been married for 12 years. They have three boys: Nash (7), Ty (6), and Grady (3).
Janie and Adam met through YoungLife Leadership Training in 2010 and share a passion for investing in students and building meaningful relationships.
At Bigtime, Janie serves as Director of Administration. She also helps lead the girls' ministry, partnering with Maggie to disciple and encourage junior high and high school girls.
Certified in Biblical Counseling, Janie is passionate about walking alongside those who are hurting and considers it a privilege to offer biblical counseling through Bigtime. She and Adam are members of Redeemer Community Church. Janie has been on staff with Bigtime since January of 2012.
